Named one of the best views in the United States by USA Today, Mt. Washington and Duquesne Heights are visited by many tourists and ‘Burghers alike. Thousands make the trek up the inclines and winding streets to the overlooks on Grandview Ave. to look in awe at our breathtaking city.
But, there’s far more to the Mount than the overlooks and restaurants on Grandview, the nightlife on Shiloh, and the hiking trails of Emerald View Park. We are a diverse neighborhood of around 10,000 people, different in many ways, but similar in that we are a community of people who know, care for, challenge, engage, and take pride in the unique beauty and potential of our most distinctive neighborhood.
Neighbors on the Mount was conceived in the Fall of 2014 as a volunteer action group coming together to help improve the quality of life, public safety and community connections in Mt. Washington and Duquesne Heights, and the first public meeting was held in October 2014.
